Therapy for Bad Breath

And sometimes it is difficult to advise someone that they have a problem. If a person is experiencing health problems it may not be something that you want to bring to their attention, as those same problems may be the reason for their bad breath.
However, if there is not a medical problem, once a person is aware that there is an issue, there are things, which can be done to “sweeten” the situation. Of course, the most used method is simply to practice good dental hygiene; but sometimes that will not solve the problem. For those times, there are alternative methods, which can be used as therapy for bad breath.
Aromatherapy in the form of using a single drop of pure peppermint essential oil on the tip of the tongue is a great way to freshen the breath. Quickly and easily, but be careful not to use too much as the rush of peppermint can take your breath away.
Food Therapy can help bad breath, which is caused by problems in the intestinal tract. Some foods to limit would include sugar, alcohol, vinegar, yeast, cheese and baked goods. Having a good enzyme balance in the digestive system will help to eliminate the problem of bad breath. It is important to drink lots of water, which will help to cleanse the system. Fresh vegetables and fruits will also be of benefit.
Herbal Therapy has long been used to freshen one’s breath. Peppermint, Spearmint, Wintergreen, fennel seeds, cloves and anise seeds are just a few members of the herb family that can help to make humans more socially acceptable.
Reflexology Therapy will help to align the stomach, liver and intestines and thus avoid problems of bad breath. Be sure to hit the reflex points as well as the sides and the bottom of each of your big toes for the maximum effect.
